The humble printer cartridge has managed to land itself a bunch of confusing, backwards and just plain wrong names in recent times so we thought we would clear things up.

Collectively, any cartridge for use in any type of printer is known as a "Printer Cartridge" regardless of the printer type, to get more specific than that you need to establish exactly what type of Printer the cartridge is for, the two most common types are Inkjet & Laser.
